Illinois State University is hosting a bone marrow drive to give the campus the opportunity to register as bone marrow donors. There are currently more than 13,000 patients with blood cancers and blood diseases searching for a bone marrow transplant. Tragically, more than half will never receive one due to lack of donors on the registry. Anyone in good health between the ages of 18-55 is welcome to register as a potential bone marrow donor at no cost. It only takes a few minutes and the swab of a cheek to see if you could be a life-saving match to a patient in need!
