Who will cover the costs of my blood stem cell donation?

The health insurance fund of the patient will pay for all the necessary checks and treatments required before you make your donation. And if you need to spend time in hospital, they will pay for that too. They also cover the costs for lost earnings, travel, and other non-medical expenses. DKMS will organize and pay for your travel to and from the stem cell donation center.
