Aimee Threlfall is a 24-year old newlywed who was born and raised in Kansas City. In March 2015, her life changed forever after she was diagnosed with aplastic anemia while 35 weeks pregnant with her first child . Her son Todd was born healthy, but now doctors have determined she needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. Currently, she has no matches.
There are more than 13,000 patients with blood cancers and blood diseases searching for a bone marrow transplant match. More than half will never receive one due to lack of donors on the registry. You can help these patients beat the odds. If you are between 18-55, it only takes a few minutes and the swab of a cheek to see if you could be a life-saving match for Aimee or other patients in need!
