Swab in Honor of Central Illinois Mother

Julie, wife and mother of three children, was suddenly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in January 2015 after going to the doctor for fatigue and needed a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, she was able to find her life-saving donor match on the bone marrow registry so she may continue to make life-long memories with her family. However, so many others needing bone marrow transplants can not find their donor match because there are just not enough people on the registry for them to continue reaching their dreams.

Julie’s friends in her community have been so moved by her courageous fight, they have teamed up with Delete Blood Cancer to host a three location bone marrow drive event in the surrounding communities to help those who can not find the life-saving donor match they need. All it takes is a simple cheek swab and you can make a difference.
