NYU Dance Marathon

Every year, more than 14,000 patients with blood cancers (like leukemia) need a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor to help save their life. Sadly, 6 out of 10 patients never receive the lifesaving transplant they need. This could be changed if more people registered as potential bone marrow donors.

You can register as a potential bone marrow donor at the NYU Dance marathon. Registration is simple and includes an eligibility screening, filling out a form, and swabbing each cheek for 30 seconds to collect cells for use in matching with a patient.

More than 1,900 NYU students have registered at campus donor drives in the past 8 years. Fifteen of them have matched and donated their marrow to give patients a second chance at life.
