LLS New Orleans Light the Night

There are currently more than 14,000 patients with blood cancers and blood diseases searching for a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, more than half will never receive one due to lack of donors on the registry. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in New Orleans has partnered with Delete Blood Cancer in an effort to try and educate the community about the importance of the registry by hosting a bone marrow drive at their annual Light the Night event. For all attendees in good health between the ages of 18 to 55 it only takes a few minutes and the swab of a cheek to see if you could be a life-saving match to a patient in need! Pepsico employees will be supporting the event as volunteers all night.
