Darren Lederman is a resident of Westfield, NJ. Father to Emma and Noah, and loving husband to Stacey, Darren was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for the second time.
Doctors have informed Darren and his family that he will require a second bone marrow transplant. Before this potentially life-saving procedure can be performed, a bone marrow match must first be found. This is where you can help.
Anyone that is between the ages of 18-55 years old and in good general health can register with us to become a potential bone marrow donor on Sunday, January 31st at the JCC of Central NJ. All it takes is a simple cheek swab to join the national registry. It may only take you 5 minutes to join the registry, but for patients like Darren it could end up meaning a lifetime.
