DiMantae Bronaugh, a standout senior for Aliquippa, has cancer and must sit out this football season. The running back received his first chemotherapy treatment at the end of August for acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The Heyward Foundation is partnering up with DKMS in order to register potential donors as life-saving matches for people like DiMantae.
There are nearly 14,000 patients that will need a bone marrow transplant this year. Only 30% of patients find a match within their family; the other 70% of patients rely on a perfect stranger to give them a second chance at life.
Register as a bone marrow donor at this event and you could be a lifesaving match for a patient with blood cancer.
