End of Watch Blood Drive in memory of Ft. Worth Police Officer Hank Nava, Jr. with Carter Bloodcare

DKMS is partnering with Hallie’s Heroes and Carter Bloodcare to raise awareness, register potential donors and provide second chances at life in honor of the life of FWPD officer Hank Nava, Jr. who gave his life while on duty in December of 2005.

Every year, nearly 14,000 patients will need a bone marrow transplant from a perfect stranger. Less than half will receive one. Help change the odds by registering as a potential bone marrow donor! Registration includes an eligibility screening, filling out a form, and swabbing each cheek for 30 seconds to collect cells for use in matching with a patient.

Registering as a potential bone marrow donor means you may be the one person able to give a patient with a blood cancer or blood disease a second chance at life.
