Rachael Marasco is the mother of two young daughters and a student at Penn State University, but in 2007 her life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Follicular Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. Rachael needed to undergo 8 cycles of 5 different chemo-therapies to combat this disease. Blood cancer patients like Rachael often needed regular blood transfusions or a bone marrow transplant to help fight this disease. With Rachael’s cancer currently in remission, she and her friends are hosting a joint blood and bone marrow drive to support the other cancer patients needing blood transfusions or bone marrow transplants to help save their lives.
